Paul grew up in Seattle Washington and has been a working musician for 20 years. Paul came through the award winning bands and vocal jazz groups of Roosevelt High. He then received a scholarship to Mt Hood CC in Oregon, which was a pioneering school in the field of both instrumental and vocal jazz. Paul studied arranging at Mt. Hood and worked in various Portland venues. After moving back to Seattle he played in Time Machine, Caravan, Brown Shoes, and other popular dance bands. Paul has played with Joe Williams, Boz Skaggs, and has also worked with Nearly Dan, a 15 piece group performing the music of Steely Dan. He has also performed with Corla Wigel, a local R&B diva renowned for her top notch players.
